The Colorado Trail briefly overlaps and passes Divide Road, a 4x4 road that is not too frequently used, but an occasional vehicle can be seen.

Hotel Draw Road is a rugged, high-elevation 4WD dirt road that intersects the Colorado Trail, marking the end of Segment 26 and the start of Segment 27.

Hermosa Creek Trail runs through the Hermosa Creek Wilderness Area. It includes smooth climbs with beautiful views. The trailhead provides valuable information about the area and the trail itself (though the latter is hard to lose).

This is an exciting 11 mile segment of the Colorado Trail. It is highly rated by bikers and hikers who share the trail to enjoy the beautiful views it offers.

Blackhawk Pass will amaze you with lush vegetation and stunning views towards towering mountains like Section Point, Hermosa Peak and Telescope Mountain. Colorado at its best!

Hermosa Creek North Trailhead is your gateway into the Hermosa Creek Wilderness and the Special Management Area. Take a run along Hermosa to the south or follow the West Cross Trail that connects with the long-distance Colorado Trail. Whatever you decide the landscape is spectacular.

Alta Lakes is a scenic area with three alpine lakes nestled at the base of the gorgeous San Juan Mountains. There's also great camping and fishing opportunities if you have a good 4x4 vehicle.

Wilson Mesa Trail is a tough trail with lots of roots & punchy climbs. However the scenery is spectacular and you get a real sense of being further away from civilization than you actually are. You ride through large aspen groves that are extremely beautiful in the fall.
