Enjoyable hike past Lionshead through Vail.

Camp Hale sits at 9,238 feet in elevation and was once the training facility for the Tenth Mountain Division of the U.S. Army. During WWII the soldiers there trained in mountain climbing, alpine skiing, and cold weather survival. It is now a national monument.

Avondale Lane takes riders right under the awning and loading area of Market Square at Beaver Creek. This area has hotels, shops, and an ice rink and is a popular winter and summer destination. The Beaver Creek architecture mimics the European Alpine village look.

Ruedi Reservoir is situated just west of the Continental Divide at an elevation of 7,766 feet. It offers various recreational opportunities, including boating, fishing, hiking, and biking access. Additionally, there are four campgrounds on the north side of the reservoir.
