Wonderful gravel path along the Hudson

Hutchinson Trail is a multi-use trail that follows a woods road for approximately 500 feet before turning right into the forest. It then ascends gently for about half a mile to a large whaleback rock formation. From there, the trail continues along an old woods road for another mile before reaching the Red Back Trail. The trail is shared between hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders.

You can enjoy almost five miles of biking along the river on this pretty, though sometimes narrow, trail. Watch out for other trail users, and please don't try this on skinny bike tires; there are parts where some riders might rather have a mountain bike, or at least a gravel bike.

Hook Mountain State Park spans 676 acres along the bank of the Hudson River, extending for 7 miles. It features a well-maintained trail through forested areas and along cliff slopes, with stunning views of the water throughout the journey.

Very peaceful pond located in a wooded area. It is a great place to stop for a break to enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Shepherd Lake is a beautiful lake in a very scenic setting. There is car parking here, and nearby is some greenspace with benches and some trees, not that many, but some, so you can take in the shade on a hot day if you get the right spot. Nearby is also a beach. It is a nice scenic place to take a break on a tour, or better yet, a great family bike ride location.
