There is a lovely short hike to Willow Lake from Anchorage on the aptly named Anchorage Trail. Keep a look out for deer which are often spotted here. It is a great place to find sanctuary from the noise of the city.

This is a popular park with open grassland, hiking trails, restrooms, woodlands and most importantly the chance to unwind in nature.

Maples Park sits on 22 acres and gets its name from the abundant maple trees on-site. It offers something for everyone, including: old restored barn structures, picnic tables, tree swings, and large open fields.

Nice little Gazebo set up to view wildlife from. Take a camera or binoculars or both. Bring a Chair. A quiet place to relax. View Squirrels, White Tail Deer, various types of featured creatures as well as other wild critters.
