This cabin ist located on the site of the Peak House, a three-story hotel built in 1891 and destroyed by a storm in 1915.

On a tour to Mount Chocorua, it is worth making a detour to the Three Sisters (First Sister (1,022 m), Middle Sister (1,018 m), Third Sister (1,011 m). The peaks are in a row on the ridge to the north between the famous mountain and Blue Mountain. On Middle Sister are the remains of a former fire tower; next to it is a radio repeater belonging to the forestry administration. The 1,064 m high Mount Chocorua is one of the most frequently climbed mountains in the US state of New Hampshire. The 'Echo Lake' in the 'State Park' of the same name is very popular as a swimming lake in the summer months. The 'Cathedral Ledge' is the epicenter of traditional climbing in New Hampshire. The area near the town of North Conway in the 'Saco River Valley' offers routes of all levels of difficulty and styles and has been popular for decades. Echo Lake is a popular spot for swimming and picnics. There are several trails to choose from that go around the lake through beautiful woodlands.

Bald Knob is named after its rocky summit without many plants. If you reach the summit via one of the many trails in the area, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and lakes.

Mount Whiteface is one of the popular peaks in the White Mountain National Forest. At around 4,000 feet, it is considered a challenging path to get to the top. Once you are at the peak, there are panoramic views of the nearby mountains, valleys and lakes.
