This is the Crab Eyes cliff, found at the top of the Crab Eyes trails in the Charons Garden area. It's worth the short hike!

Treasure Lake is one of the really special spots in the area with its view of Elk Mountain in the background, because it is really representative of the Wichitas Mountains area.

This stone and earth staircase leads to a junction. Both paths can be used as they rejoined a few hundred feet further.

The name of the trail was not picked randomly. Many bisons call the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge home. You will often find them grazing in the prairie around which the trail goes.

This watercourse marks the border of the Charons Garden Wilderness Area. Here, you will find lots of granite rocks, flourishing vegetation and wildlife which give an enchanting atmosphere to the area.
