Point Bolivar Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse that was built in 1872. The current lighthouse is at least the second structure at the site as the original lighthouse was torn down during the civil war. There is a great view of the lighthouse from the end of the Texas City Dike Road.

Bay Street Park is a great park in downtown Texas City. The park has concrete biking and walking trails, covered picnic shelters, and restrooms. The park is also home to the Wings of Heritage Display, which is a permanent exhibition with old military planes.

This 116-foot tall black iron lighthouse, built in 1872 by the federal government, is one of the few remaining lighthouses from the 19th century on the Gulf Coast and one of only two iron lighthouses in Texas. It was officially retired in 1933 after 61 years of service. The lamps and Fresnel lenses have been reassembled and are a key artifact in the “On the Water” exhibit displayed at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

Fort Travis Seashore Park spans 60 acres and sits within the boundaries of the historic Fort Travis. It includes a variety of attractions to explore, including a historic fort and bunkers that have been restored to their original condition, complete with authentic military equipment and uniforms. There is a museum, barracks, well-preserved structures, exhibits, cabanas, camping areas, picnic areas, wetland overlooks, and plenty of grassy areas. The park is home to many types of waterfowl, making it a great place for birdwatching while enjoying a picnic surrounded by the scenic views of the Gulf.

This tranquil creek creates a natural northern border for League City and is a local treasure. It is a favorite of kayakers, as the majority of the paddle trail is surrounded by dense trees and lush vegetation, creating an intimate space to explore and experience nature. It's a lovely spot to stop and sit on its shoreline and take in the peaceful surroundings.

This well-maintained park, along Clear Creek, is a hub for a variety of outdoor recreation. It features multiple sports fields, kayak and boat launches, a fishing pier, sand volleyball courts, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, and plenty of grassy open space. It's a great location to begin or finish a day exploring the city, where you ride the loop around the park, or spend time under the shade of big oak trees and enjoy the quintessential views of the bayou.

League Park is a historic, quaint, tree-filled gem in the city's heart. There are picnic areas, restrooms, a water fountain, a playground, two basketball courts, and a local coffee shop on site.

Dickinson Bayou is a picturesque, popular location for plenty of outdoor activities, including fishing, canoeing, water-skiing, swimming, and sightseeing. It has an abundant number of beautiful trees along its banks and plenty of wildlife, including Egrets, herons, and other birdlife that inhabit the area.
