The Georgetown-Lewes Trail is a 17-mile-long trail network that links Georgetown and Lewes to Cape Henlopen State Park. The trail is fully paved and mostly flat. There is no car traffic along on the trail; however, the trail does have several intersections with roads.

You can do a lot at Cape Henlopen State Park, starting with cycling on miles of trails that bloom with wildflowers when in season. Or you can park your bike and spend some time on the beach; tour Fort miles Historical Area; visit the nature center and its touch tank... you get the idea.

Gordon's Pond is a small reservoir located within Cape Henloen State Park. There is an official overlook platform from the southwestern banks that is a popular spot for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.

Year-round beauty unfolds at Terrapin Branch Pond, from fall foliage to winter snow, spring frog calls, and summer songbirds. Paddle the water trail or join a pontoon boat tour to explore the cypress swamp and learn about the park's history and wildlife.

This is a good access point to the beach, in case you want to relax for a while during the cycling tour.

Sometimes sand, blown by the wind, forms small patches on the road. Watch out for this sand, if there is any, on bends.
