Bring your binoculars! The views out over the salt marsh from here make it a good spot to look for birds. As you continue along Gordons Pond Trail from here, please watch out for slower trail users — the boardwalks can be narrow in spots.

Gordon's Pond is a small reservoir located within Cape Henloen State Park. There is an official overlook platform from the southwestern banks that is a popular spot for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.

With a mix of dunes, water and tweeting birds, Cape Henlopen is a wonderful place to explore. You can cycle along miles of trails here, flanked by wildflowers on either side. There are two lighthouses too.

This is a beautiful, large lake in Rehoboth Beach. It's a quiet place to go for a stroll or bike ride – a bike lane runs around the shoreline. Lots of birds call the lake home too.

This lagoon separates Ocean City and Delmarva. It's an incredibly peaceful place that's perfect for a picnic and wildlife spotting. You'll find long stretches of marsh grasses along the bay shores and pine woods. There are also heaps of birds!

This is a peaceful place to breath in the salty ocean air and relax. Bethany Beach boasts golden sands, tax-free shopping and excellent restaurants. Bear in mind that you're only allowed to cycle along the boardwalk from 6 am to 9 am.

This beautiful state park is found on the small strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Little Assawoman Bay – Fenwick Island. It's a great place for swimming and surfing, with showers, changing rooms and places to eat.
