Beautiful path, accessible to everyone

The park is open sunrise to sunset. Many tree lined, shaded miles of hiking, cycling and horse trails throughout the park. Great fishing spots and campground too.

Nice place to jog as there are trees along most of the trail to provide shade and a wind barrier. The trail itself is mostly packed dirt or gravel and a loop is 1.5 miles around making it a nice place to train for the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon distances.

Paved bicycle and walking trail along the canal. Plenty of facilities along the way, such as bathrooms and bicycle repair stands. Awesome colors on the trees in the fall.

Lake Hughes is nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The short spur trail from the main route in the Arboretum is worth the minimal effort to access the lake.

Though it's a very popular place for fishing, hiking, bird watching, etc Oak Grove is a great place to bring the family for a walk and a picnic by the lake.
