Located in the heart of Stenstan, the stone city, some of Sundsvall's most magnificent houses are situated around its main square, Stora Torget. A market is also held here regularly.

Sundsvall is also called "Stone city". The town has been destroyed by fire four times. After the fire in 1888 the town was completely rebuilt in stone.

The river Ljungan, almost 400 kilometres long, is on its way to its mouth on the Gulf of Bothnia, near the town of Sundsvall.

Of course, the route along the coast is super beautiful, but cycling inland is also nice
