Hovdala Castle is a historic castle with origins dating back to the 11th century. The current castle is a well-preserved cultural site famous for its role in 17th-century conflicts, with bullet holes still visible in its gate tower. Today, the castle is a popular visitor destination with a beautiful park, gardens, and a network of hiking trails in the surrounding Hovdala Nature Area.

Ignaberga Old Church is a medieval stone church in the Swedish province of Skåne, built in the late 12th century in the Romanesque style. It's a key example of the region's early church architecture, constructed using local limestone. The church was left to fall into disrepair after a new one was built in the 1880s, but it was lovingly restored and reopened in 1928. It is notable for its well-preserved medieval murals and a high-quality baptismal font.

On the hiking trail around Lake Finjasjön, you'll repeatedly come across small sandy beaches, like this one. In the summer months, they're also used as swimming spots.

This stretch of the shore of Lake Finjasjön (Sjön means lake in Swedish) is also known as the Gold Coast. The shore here is sandy and adorned with several old, sometimes very mighty trees. There are also several picnic tables that invite you to stop at this idyllic spot.

From 1804 until the 1920s, a water-powered mill stood here. Today, only ruins remain. An information board provides more information about the site.

Beach with a large parking lot along the road. At the north end of the beach (on the right-hand side when viewed from the road) there is a beautifully mown, fenced-off lawn that is perfect for camping. Whether this is officially intended remains to be seen. At least nobody has anything against it, although someone who was apparently in charge was briefly on site during my stay.
