Moses Cone Overlook used to be home to one of the great viewpoints along the Blue Ridge Highway. Now, the view is obstructed by the overgrown trees and shrubs.

From Edgemont Road, you can enjoy views of Polecat Knob. It's one of several peaks along this scenic stretch of road.

The section of the parkway bordering Grandfather Mountain State Park is especially beautiful in the fall when the colors on the trees are changing.
