Very grateful for this highlight as we struggled to find a fresh water source in the area. It was a bit of a (short) hassle to get to with the loaded bikes but the place turned out to be magical. The old oak trees, the hill, the old crumbling walls. Don't know the local history but the place had a power feeling to itself. The water was delicious. There is a bench as well as a BBQ pit. We saw two local people passing by in the evening on a jog / dog walk.

The astronomical clock plays twice a day (12 p.m. and 3 p.m.). About 10 minutes beforehand, the priest explains a few things about the clock (in both English and Swedish), and of course arriving early ensures good (seating) places.

The crypt is considered one of the most famous surviving examples of medieval architecture in Northern Europe. Its ceiling construction consists of a total of 41 cross vaults, which are supported by a forest of pillars, but still exude a certain lightness. The cathedral has a total of five different organs, with the main organ in the west gallery being the largest church organ in Sweden with 102 registers and 7,074 pipes.
