This is one of the best view points in the area and not that far from the road and car park. The walk to the headland through the forest is great, and the views out over the lake are absolutely fabulous. There are also a few benches and picnic spots about if you are bringing the family.

There is a great view eastwards out over lake Tenhultsjön from here. It is also a lovely walk down from the car park and there are benches to sit on too.

Lovely little section through the woods along the walkway. Some great views of the town through the branches.

The land elevation at Lake Vättern is different in the northern and southern parts, which means that the water in the Vättern basin slowly tilts southwards. The waves of the water erode the beach and at Rosenlund the beach edge shifts southwards by an average of two to three decimetres every year. Unfortunately, the path in the nature reserve only allows views of the demolition banks in a few places.

The old workers' houses are now used by artisans and a café. Please note! Open only on a few weekdays, including Sundays.
