In Roman mythology, Neptune, who was honored with a fountain here not far from the famous Lake Geneva, is the god of the sea; his Greek counterpart is Poseidon. Both are usually depicted—in paintings or statues—with a trident, which is, so to speak, their shared trademark. Unlike his Greek counterpart, Neptune has a planet named after him.

Beautiful walk through the vineyards with a view of the lake half way through. We timed it right and stopped at a lovely restaurant, Auberge de Cheval Blanc which we reached 45 mins into the walk.

As the name suggests, this is where the ships dock.

A beach that the people of Geneva have all been waiting for!

This park is the largest in the city. It is home to remarkable trees as well as a rose garden, a collection of rhododendrons, an alpine lake and the villa. This place of rejuvenation is dedicated to calm. Cyclists are prohibited there, so you must leave your bike at the entrance.

The Jet d'Eau is the emblem of Geneva. 140 metres high, it was projected in 1891 above the city's harbour, offering a superb view known to all.

Located in the heart of the city, this lake beach is 400 meters long. It benefits from a two-hectare park and a nature area. Access to the beach is free. It has toilets, showers and drinking water fountains.
