Fantastic view of Sylan and Helags

Easy to follow summer hiking trail to the summit starting from Helags Fjällstation.

if you come from the south, after several STF Stugas, you will now find the first serviced station. It consists of several buildings, the largest of which houses the reception, the café and the hospitality area. There is a sauna and drying room, and several huts have their own kitchens for self-catering. From the station you have - provided you have a good view - a great view of the Helags Glacier, which is also a reason to book more than one overnight stay here. Many hikers come here specifically to climb the Helags Glacier. This can be done in a few hours. That's why the station is often fully booked. Advance booking is therefore advisable. Here the ascent to Storsylen branches off the route between Nedalshytta and Storerikvollen.

The DNT cabin Nedalshytta is located on the edge of Nesjøen. In summer and over Easter, there is overnight accommodation with food and shower, and outside of the season you can get to the self-catering cabin with the DNT key. From here, there are many beautiful tours into the Sylan Mountains. The cabin is also part of the tour 'Norge på tvers', our first overnight stay on the tour, starting in Stugudal (bus). P.
