Näsby Castle (Näsby Slott), is beautiful 17th-century manor that was designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Elder. It's an elegant hotel, famed for its charm and very scenic views.

It is really beautiful to walk the promenade from Hägernäs to Viggbyholm. There are lots of places for a rest: meadows, beaches, benches and jetties.

From this spot, enjoy a beautiful view over Viggbyholm Marina, with its small docks and calm waters, framed by a lush, green parkland.

In 1891, the first opera house was demolished because it had become worn out and too small. An architectural competition was held for a new building in 1887-1888, which was won by the Stockholm architect Valfrid Karlson (1855-1935).
