Not as steep/ boggy as I expected, and the river crossings had good stepping stones (although caveat it’s been a dry summer generally although torrential last few days).

No ski scarring so I actually think this is an under rated Glenshee munro.

This has to be the easiest, as well as the most easterly, munro! From the Glen Tanar side, you can cycle the long route in cutting out 12km in each direction, and there is a good path right to the top. There is even a granite staircase on the steep bit.

Did you know the summit is in 3 different counties? I think it’s kinda fun to run through Aberdeenshire, Angus, and Perth and Kinross in a few minutes, though the highest point lies wholly within Angus.

As the 5th lowest Munro, this must be the quickest Munro up and down with a path straight from the car park, but this poor Munro is battle scarred by the ski lifts so it’s much nicer to approach it as part of a loop with Cairnwell and Carn a Gheoide.

The large shelter cairn was definitely very welcome today as a picnic spot!

Doesn't take long to get to this peak if you're heading up from the ski lodge, it has some properly steep sections. Don't cheat and take the stairlift!

Descent was harder than going up, it can be very slippery and it’s very steep. it may be wise to reach the top and then turn back on yourself.

Scenic 360-degree views. OK so you have to walk around the transmitters and other buildings to get uncluttered views but very scenic nonetheless. The Cairnwell Munro is classed as one of the easiest munros but an eMTB ride up following the lumpy gravel vehicle track still gives a great sense of achievement. The ride only has a few metres of hike-n-bike on the summit approach due to lack of traction on the loose gravel. A bit of planning on the correct line and this munro might be totally eMTB rideable to the summit.

Very scenic 360-degrees views from this Munro. An easy eMTB ride up a vehicle (lumpy) gravel track with only a couple of areas of traction issues. From the car park to the summit is 100% eMTB rideable with no hike-n-bike. OK, so Càrn Aosda is classed as one of the easiest munros but nonetheless an extremely satisfying achievement to eMTB up.

Mayar is typical of the Munros of the Mounth, its summit being rounded and fairly undistinguished. It is easily linked with neighbouring Driesh in what is a popular hike for those from the Dundee region. However, its northern slopes fall away to Corrie Fee, a magnificent glacial bowl. This is undoubtedly the mountain's best feature, with steep sides, a picturesque waterfall and a remarkable flat bottom. Keep your eyes peeled for eagles in the skies above.

Mount Keen sits at 939 m high and is the most easterly munro in Scotland. Take in the views before the rapid descent!
