This hill at 402m is Ballater''s local Marilyn and is a short ascent from the town centre. There is easy to follow paths around and up the hill, and the views over Ballater and towards Lochnagar are very good.

Lochnagar can be spotted on a clear day. There is also a shelter cairn at the top here, which makes a good spot for lunch.

Although this hill is small, it makes up for it in the surroundings and view. There is a waymarked path from Aboyne to the top. The paths are good and the views even better. A great morning walk.
