Beddgelert is a lovely village below Moel Hebog, and the bridge over the river is a key feature.

Pen y pass looms in front of you for most of the climb, which is stunning, and the drivers are usually pretty good, although I've only done it late on in the evening. A warm up or a climb in itself.

The view from the front is also very impressive! 👍🏻

The visitor centre is located on the A5, approximately 5 miles south of Bethesda and approximately 4 miles west of Capel Curig, on the western side of Llyn Ogwen. There are a number of facilities including toilets, disabled toilets, an information room, public wifi and a small kiosk selling hot and cold snacks. From the visitor centre you can start a range of walks and climbs in the area. Swallow Falls is one of the highest continuous waterfalls in Wales. It comprises a series of beautiful cascades on the River Llugwy, approximately one mile east of Betws y Coed, on the way to Capel Curig and just off the A5. The falls are surrounded by lush woodland.
