Sleeping in Burgdorf Castle? Yes, it's possible, and you can do so in the youth hostel. It's actually located in the castle itself! The rooms within the old walls have been skillfully designed in a modern style, creating a cozy atmosphere. This excellent road with a cycleway on the smoothly asphalted surface between Burgdorf and Niederösch allows for on to be able to reach top speeds with little traffic.

Even better than the show dairy is the Meier bakery right next door! Ideal for a refreshing snack in the form of a cream cake or a Nide cake.

From this point until the village of Bollodingen, the road turns into a gravel road. I would advise road cyclists to avoid this stretch of gravel and take the detour to the village of Hermiswil and ride on the busy road between Hermiswil and Bollodingen. The road on itself is of a smooth asphalted surface with no holes but during the morning and evening rush hour, this road has a lot of heavy traffic.

This cycleway provides a great alternative to avoid to the heavy rush hour traffic between Burgdorf and Langenthal on the main road, however for road bikes there is a small section where road cyclists have to take the main road to avoid a stretch of gravel road.
