If you don't mind taking the same route down as up, we recommend a detour up to Juf in the Avers Valley. The scenery in this quiet side valley is beautiful, and the gradient is also moderate. This makes the drive to the dead end truly enjoyable. Juf lies at an altitude of 2,125 meters and, according to various sources, is not only the highest year-round inhabited settlement in Switzerland, but even in Europe!
