Always worth a stop!

The cycle path along the top of the dam is wide and flat and gives great views across the reservoir. Reach it from the Visitor Centre at the northern end although access at the southern end is trickier as you have to squeeze through a narrow gap next to a locked gate by the main road.

Good cafe usually busy but plenty of space for bikes and a playpark for youngsters. Great crazy golf course due to open May 2023.

Very pleasant cafe although usually busy weekends so if you are looking for a long break on your tour in the weekend I definitely recommend

Grafham Water is a reservoir with a circumference of about 16 km (10 mi). It is the eighth largest reservoir in England by volume and the third largest by area. Just a few short miles from Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, Grafham Water, England's third largest reservoir can be found nestled in 1500 acres of beautiful countryside. Designated as a SSSI the western end features a 280 acre nature reserve and is home to ancient woodlands, reed beds and bird and amphibian species. There are big open spaces to take in the views and facilities include visitor centre and two cafes. Bike hire is also available and there is a trail around the water. It can get muddy at times.

Pretty sketchy on a road bike. Better to go the long way around.

Grafham Water is a site of Special scientific Interest covering almost 2000 acres. Built in 1965, it is the 8th largest reservoir in England. The lake hosts a water sport centre and cafe. Making it a great place to take a break.

Worth taking in the natural beauty of this gorgeous pond and it's amazing setting, really pretty

Great link between Southill Road and other trails around Shuttleworth.

A great open trail that links Broom to the Shuttleworth Area and also near Southill. In the summer it is not uncommon to see aircraft flying in/out or performing at Shuttleworth Events.

Went and scouted this as it looked like a footpath on the map but it's actually a "Green Wheel" cycleway, very little gradient. If you live in Biggleswade, it's a good way to get down to Jordan's Mill.

It says just as you go inside the gateway, no bikes, you can cycle but on the bridlepath that is central to you as you enter the gate not left or right

Do it North to South if you want to fly downhill to the gate by the Common. The other way is for those with energy still in the legs seeking a bit of satisfaction at the end of a climb…

Some nice single track and wooded pathways. Look out for walkers though.

I would agree with Dom. About 9 miles round the loop. Relatively challenging for an intermediate or beginner. Mixture of gravel, mud and road surfaces. Beautiful scenes of the reservoir. When hot, just expect swarms of midges in some parts of the track. Great to also have Rutland Cycling there too along with 2 coffee shops. Well worth going for the parking pass if you are considering regular visits, £50 a year.
