From the Gorg Blau, the reservoir located 137 meters lower, the water is first pumped 156 meters up, then flows through an approximately 5.6-kilometer-long open canal into the Cúber reservoir. From there, the water flows through a 10,984-meter-long pipe with a diameter of 50 to 70 centimeters, dropping 559 meters into the valley below to the treatment plant in Lloseta. From there, it descends another 29 kilometers toward Palma to the central drinking water depot in Son Anglada. The reservoirs supply an average of 20 percent of the island's capital's drinking water needs (Mallorca Magazine).

There's something resembling a path only in the lower section. Further up, a bit of scrambling is required, but this should be easily manageable for anyone venturing into this area. Technically, even older children could manage it. However, falls should definitely be avoided. It's significantly less frequented than the main route or the path via Font de s'Avenc. Archduke Ludwig Salvator already mentioned the pass in his work "The Balearic Islands" (c. 1884), referring to it as "Pas de n'Argentó." He described it as the best crossing on the western side of Puig de Massanella, a claim likely based on its being the only one accessible to the average hiker. The name "Argentó" could derive from the Old Catalan word "argan," meaning "rocky terrain."

The short section of the hiking trail secured with chains is only about 10-15 meters long and covers a height of 4-5 meters, so I would hardly call it a via ferrata. Sure-footedness is required, but the terrain is not very exposed and I would not classify the section as dangerous/challenging in the context of the hike.

This canal connects the Cuber reservoir with the Gorg Blau... depending on the water level, the canal can sometimes be completely dry

Beautifully situated reservoir, which is beautifully embedded in the surrounding mountains... currently a few trees are turning their leaves orange, which is why the lake reminds me of Canada... especially on the weekends there is a lot going on up here

There are two variants of the GR221 from the Cuber reservoir to the Tossal Verds refuge... one is a little shorter but more challenging over the Llis pass... the other, according to hikers, is a little longer and offers less of a view around the mountain... I naturally chose the Llis pass... a brilliant decision... strenuous but with brilliant views and the small "climbing" section is secured with chains...

Coming from Sóller you have a great view of the reservoir, which nowadays only has very little water. However, it is incredibly crowded, especially during holidays or weekends.
