I think the start and the end is probably the hardest but overall pretty easy path you can’t get lost

Great view of the lake and the climb to come , stopped for a quick brew before the ascent up

Komoot auto routed through here and I happened to encounter the farmer/landowner who was politely irritated we'd gone through private fields where there's no legal access.

I'd say it's a bit less busy this way up

Llyn Ffynnon y Gwas, the Lake of the Servant's Spring, is a gorgeous, deep blue pool beneath Bwlch Cwm Brwynog on the Snowdon Ranger Path. It's a well known wild swimming spot in a stunning mountain setting, with some superb views towards Moel Hebog. Legend has it that a young shepherd drowned in the llyn while attempting to wash his master's sheep. As if to add credence to the tale, a ruined shepherd's hut stands eerily silent, watching on from the waters' northern end.
