Enjoy, I have walked all over Dunnet Head, and don't forget Burifa Hill as well. There is a track up there. You will see it as you drive up... if you are driving up. There is no where to park, so best park in the car park and walk back. You can see the buildings from the car park if you look back towards Brough village.

A great sweeping arc of white sandy beach to the south of Dunnet Head. Good surf break if you are staying here and want something other than running to occupy the time. The visitor centre has information about the local area and wildlife and public toilets.

Dunnet Head is the most northerly point of mainland Britain. The lighthouse was built in 1831 by Robert Stevenson. It was automated in 1989 and is now remotely operated.

Dunnet Forest is a fantastic community owned experimental woodland. It includes a variety of trails, including technical MTB and horse trails.

Dunnet beach is a large sweeping arc of white sand opening out onto Dunnet Bay. Along with car parking, there is a visitor centre with information about the local area and wildlife and facilities include public toilets.

Trig-baggers will want to get this one! Dunnet Head is home to the most northerly trig point of Britain's mainland and is the Northern-most point beating John O Groats by some miles. Don't miss the path that gives up to a 360 degrees viewpoint of the whole area

Great detour to the actual most northerly point of Britain's mainland (beating John O Groats by 11 miles!). Once you reach the car park of Dunnet Head, go leftwards to see the lighthouse and cliff but don't miss the right hand path that goes up to a 360 degrees viewpoint of the whole area
