If you follow the indicated route from Laide, the beautiful wide cart track path of Slaggan Road ends at the beach. There is no cross path at this point so the route ends here and you have to return via Slaggan Road.

Kerserary loop is a well known local walk going out one side of Loch and back on the gravel estate road

Set on the banks of the Minch, Slaggan Bay is a peaceful, crescent-shaped beach with clear water and white sands. A spectacular spot for a picnic with views out across the open sea.

This side of the lake is the more interesting one to walk. On the east side there is a wide, mostly gravel path - rather boring to hike if the landscape wasn't so beautiful.

Unfortunately, the path had been washed away, progress beyond here was very difficult.
