No AVOID, AVOID. AVOID. Just NO Glen Etive road is a bliss 11 miles to a dead-end. AVOID loch Etive, you need a boat. The loch "path" on komoot is non-existent. A hike through bracken, bogs, and boulders. Took 7 hours & had to camp! Final few miles, we followed a deer that used the shoreline. The loch section should be deleted. Incredible evening & morning views but not worth the risk.

Just before the Kingshouse Hotel is a small block with public toilets and showers, open to the public. You can use them as you pass through or even camp just 5 minutes before.

Last time I passed by, this "wild camping spot" had been taken over by a company providing a wild camping experience. Whilst I'm sure they couldn't stop you from camping in the area, you might want more peace than that. Continue along the path and pass the small forested area on your right hand side. Although the land can be boggy, there are many small spots you could pop a tent within 1 or 2km with fantastic views as well.

A rocky trail leads you into the splendor of Glen Coe. Not to be missed!

This beautiful series of waterfalls on the River Etive enjoys a dramatic setting beneath the flanks of the mighty Buachaille Etive Mòr. The pools that form between each cascade make for lovely wild swims, while it's also a well-known kayaking spot. The water may have a dark tinge to it but try not to be put off – it's just peat that's travelled down from Rannoch Moor.

Great campsite by the Alt Tolaghan River. A stone's throw from the Inveroran Hotel where you can find a small grocery store and a pub.

Simply stunning back road running from Glen Coe National Park right through to Loch Etive. The views are epic but it is pretty remote so make sure you've got all fuel and spares you need.
