Ramsbury is a beautiful village tucked away in the east of Wiltshire, a few miles northeast of Marlborough. When in Ramsbury make sure to check out one of the two local pubs, The Bell or The Crown & Anchor, take a stroll down to the river and Ramsbury Meadow, or just admire the beautiful selection of chocolate-box thatched roof cottages that are dotted around the village.

This picturesque tree-lined avenue takes you to Littlecote House, a stunning 16th century, Grade I listed Tudor manor house located in the English county of Wiltshire. This unique property now acts as a luxury hotel, however you the public are able to view the outside of the house and it's immaculate grounds via this road.

Kinbury is a charming village nestled along the banks of the beautiful River Kennet. The village features plenty of historic buildings, thatched cottages, and scenic countryside. There are a number of great pubs, cafés, and restaurants to explore, such as The Dundas Arms.

Quite a bit of history contained within these grade I listed walls, where Henry VIII wooed Jane Seymour and the D-Day landings were apparently planned. Quite a remarkable manor house. Now a hotel but you can still marvel at the building or have a drink in the bar.

The Orpheus Mosaic at Littlecote Roman villa is an astounding relic from almost 2,000 years ago. Open to the public, this phenomenal floor was only discovered in the 18th century and has undergone careful restoration work. The mosaic is thought to be connected to the Pagan revival which took place around 361 AD.

The Kennet and Avon Canal stretches from Bristol to London and marks a mostly straight line across the width of the country. There are plenty of stunning sections of footpath alongside the canal, and this is one of the many pretty locks. Just outside Hungerford, Wire Lock is a perfect example of a wooden lock gate. You'll often see colourful narrow boats here too, the icing on the cake to such lovely surroundings.
