Along the SP 28 in the direction of Ittiri, you can admire spectacular views thanks to the characteristic limestone rock formations eroded over the millennia by atmospheric agents.

Along the SS 292, coming down from Monteleone, you come across the crossroads that on the left leads to Romana and Ittiri. Going straight you go towards Pozzomaggiore.

The necropolis of Puttu Codinu ("rock well") is an archaeological site located in the municipality of Villanova Monteleone, province of Sassari, near the state road 292 that leads to Monteleone Rocca Doria. A necropolis with nine hypogeal tombs was found on the site, in an area with rocks emerging from the surrounding land. The tombs were found by chance during recent excavation work. On the SS127 Bis Northern Sardinia, turn left for Putifigari. Going straight on you continue towards Olmedo and Alghero.
