Pedestrian underpass for safely crossing the busy A31 road at Canford Bottom roundabout.

As best as I can tell there is no signage where the road forks The footbridge is supposed to be closed due to a broken floorboard ... somebody has however pulled the council fences away from the bridge allowing access ... Use at your own risk

Longham Lakes are a double lake separated by a narrow causeway. It's managed as a wildlife reserve and fishing lakes. There is a nice path around the area, perfect for an easy walk.

this does have some serious mountain biking parts riding over tree roots and through multiple deep muddy puddles. should only be attempted on a mountain bike. short steep climb up hill in cannon hill have to get off and carry bike. I had to turn back on Pomeroy lane as too were and muddy for my gravel bike

An Iron Age fort, Dudsbury Camp lies in a chain of such forts which starts at Hambledon Hill and ends at Hengistbury Head. This isn't quite as impressive as the others, low-lying and not quite as obvious, but you can still see earthworks in the south-west of the site.

Well over a hundred years old, this narrow suspension bridge lies just outside the grounds of Canford School and crosses the Stour. Only wide enough for one person at a time, the bridge sways a little as you cross and its midpoint is ideal for admiring the river. Here, you'll see duckweed, grasses and trees, leaning over the surface. 2013 saw six months of renovation work during which the bridge was closed. The renovations helped secure the bridge and repair corrosion, restoring it considerably to its prior beauty.
