The spring is very hidden. Even with Komoot, I initially drove right past it.

Here the Debersdorf stream branches off to form a chain of ponds used for carp farming.

The spring is somewhat hidden near the hiking parking lot and is almost impossible to find without local knowledge (or Komoot). It's a shame that the surrounding area isn't well-maintained. To call the bench by the pond dilapidated would be an understatement.

A beautiful church

The pilgrimage church, built in 1467, was replaced in 1594 by a new building because it was too small, which was not consecrated until 1597. The two-bay hall church has a choir supported by buttresses with a 5/8 end, which is spanned inside with a ribbed vault on consoles. A hexagonal roof turret covered with a tent roof rises from the gable roof above the choir. The high altar dates from the late 17th century. The altarpiece from 1651 shows the Last Supper. The pulpit was built under Abbot Wilhelm II Roßhirt of Ebrach Monastery.

The baroque castle was built between 1720 and 1728 and served as the former administrative court of the neighboring Cistercian monastery. It thus expresses the cultural and economic importance of the place.
