When can I use the causeway? At high tide, the sea covers the causeway and during the winter the island will be closed. However, at low tide, the causeway is revealed and visitors can stroll across and back. The causeway is open for around four hours each day, depending on the tides and weather. Jubilee Pool is an art deco lido which is now run as a social enterprise. The lido was originally opened in 1935. Since 2019, a part of the lido has been heated by geothermal energy from a well drilled 410m into the rock underneath.

Well-preserved/restored historic outdoor swimming pool. If you want to use the hot water area, prior registration is required. Since the pool has a very high surround into which the changing rooms are built, there is no view of the sea from the pool.
