Great gravel road towards Czernica

Beautiful bridge over which the cycle path leads over the Brda, far away from the busy road.

In Chojnice, the gates represented an essential element of the city's defenses. In front of each gate was a drawbridge, defended on the other side by bridgehead towers. In the case of the Człuchów Gate, these were called "Elephant" and "Bull." The six-story Człuchów Gate was built on a square plan in the Pomeranian Gothic style. The ground floor is the entrance area, which also includes a door that probably led to the rooms containing the mechanism for raising the portcullis and the bridge.

The town hall in Chojnice is the neo-Gothic heart of the city. Modernist decorations and carved heads supporting the bay window are eye-catching. The windows also feature interesting reliefs depicting the emblems of crafts and trades. On the front wall are the coats of arms of Chojnice, Pomerania, and Poland, as well as smaller neighboring towns that were represented by Chojnice in regional councils.
