A very fitting end to the Wychavon Way, Broadway is a lovely place.

Very lovely village right in front of the Cotswolds. Popular both among walkers (Wychavon Way & The Cotswold Way) and cyclists (close to NCN 442 and some uphills to Broadway Tower, which is ~4 miles from Broadway).

Reasonably easy walk and great view from tower that contributes mid journey to being refreshed.

The Cotswold Way path is easy to lose at the crest of the hill at the entrance to the Broadway Tower property, as it takes a right angle turn to head toward Broadway along the stone wall and across the fields or, going the opposite direction, toward Chipping Campden down the rocky path.

My best tip to best experience Dover's Hill is by starting at the car park and walk along the Cotswold Way. A walk down into Chipping Campden is also worth a few additional miles.

Dovers Hill is a good climb with decent road surface, steep in places but fairly constant gradient. Enjoy!

The hall was intended to provide shelter from the elements for merchants and farmers selling goods like cheese, butter, and poultry (not, as you might think, wool). The side walls were open arches to allow light, and customers, access to the market stalls. The floor of the market hall was made of simple cobbles, now worn smooth by the passage of time and thousands of feet. The building is listed Grade I for its historic importance. In the 1940s the hall was threatened with sale to an American, but local people, alarmed at the prospect of their ancient building being sold abroad, raised the money to purchase the property and gave it to the National Trust. Fish Hill is the name of the car park and small nature reserve at the top of the A44 hill near Broadway Tower. The name apparently comes from the monks who used to cultivate fish in the ponds here, although both the monks and ponds are long gone. It's a good place to start an easy walk to the tower and cafe.

The Cotswold Way national trail crosses a few fields after Broadway village before climbing the steep hill to Broadway Tower. The trail is well signposted.

The market hall was built in 1627 to provide a shelter for traders. In the 1940s it was almost sold to an American, but the local people raised enough money to buy it instead and gave it to the National Trust to preserve. This is the start of the Cotswold Way. A 102 mile (164 km) National Trail from here to Bath.

A beautiful village with several places to eat and drink whilst you re-fuel and watch the world go by.

A historic church with a great view.

Beautiful and touristy Cotswolds village. The wide high street has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to stop and refresh. Good starting point to explore the Northern Cotswolds and climb Snowshill and Broadway Tower.
