Another beautiful, ancient church and listed building in the Cotswolds. So much history all around us.

Tried to find more information about these fascinating buildings. No luck so far. Can anybody help?

This a route correction rather than a 'highlight'. The public road shown on the original route is no longer public. The road has been blocked off by an electronically operated gate and is now the private property of Manor Farm. I retraced my steps and took the Sabrina Bridleway which is at the entrance to this road off the main road on the right. The bridleway takes you the long way round but is a pleasant addition to the original route.

The Fox is a wonderful Cotswold pub fit with a cosy fireplace, good beer, a fantastic outdoor seating area, and delicious seasonal dishes. The pub is situated right on the River Windrush and delivers a peaceful charm in a Cotswold setting. Dogs and walkers welcome!

The beautiful village of Windrush forms part of the Cotswold district in Gloucestershire. It features typical Cotswold cottages built with stone roofs, mullioned windows, and dripmoulds, and a pleasant little 12th century church.
