Best place to have a refreshing pint after this walk

The climb up Harley's Mountain is quite long and steep in places, and the top is an unlikely arable field - but the views in all directions make the effort worthwhile.

The climb up Stapleton Hill from Kinsham is a delight once you leave the road behind. Lovely path mainly grass, with woods to one side.

On the first part of the route this place just looks a bit unkempt, but on the second part of the route approaching from the west it is difficult to navigate, there is no path and it is very overgrown with brambles and bracken. Fortunately the difficulties don't last long and soon you will be on a clear track through the woods again.

This path down from Stapleton Hill to Lingen is superb, It is bosky and tree covered, in parts a sunken lane, but always clear. Well done to the builders of the Herefordshire Trail for finding this one!

On the approach to Leintwardine, the trail passes along an ancient sunken lane with high tree lined banks on either side.

Just downstream of Downton Castle, the Teme runs through a winding wooded section, and there are a few open views such as this one.
