This sculpture trail has an assortment of weird and whacky animals, and silhouettes of figures. The path also has interactive exhibits for the kids.

Great place to capture some photos of the River Taff. Scenic all year round

Nice easy flat ride. Can be busy with walkers and other cyclists, particularly on weekends. Early mornings are the best, with so much birdsong and wildlife. Take a moment to enjoy the view of the Weir, which usually has a row of gulls fishing on it.

This Weir is a wonderful home for birds as they wash their feet, and gossip about others' nests

The white noise from the crashing water makes this a perfect place to tune out of the world. Unique place!

The weir spans the River Taff, which flows directly through the heart of South Wales. It's a nice place to stop and refuel with picnic benches and a peaceful atmosphere.

The footbridge over the Taff here was built in the 1980s by Cardiff University in tandem with development of nearby student accommodation. Engineering students were involved in the bridge project.

Llandaff Weir on the River Taff was built in the mid 1800s to help control the flow and water levels upstream. It was built in a dangerous rapid part of the river which had previously claimed several lives.

The pretty Radyr Weir spans over the River Taff and is currently working as a hydropower scheme, providing energy locally. You may find wild salmon and sea trout near the weir, as well as cormorants and grey herons.

This impressive weir lies on the River Taff in Cardiff. On its eastern bank lies Blackweir Woods, an important habitat for plenty of wildlife and birds. There's a bridge above the weir, so you can watch the water rushing down – it's particularly fierce after heavy rain.
