Emblematic monastery from the 12th century, built at a time of repopulation of territories recovered by the Christians. Balaguer was conquered in 1105, but it was not until the middle of the 12th century that repopulation policies began.

These trenches were defense lines, built between April and December 1938, to prevent Franco's advance.

As we pass through this area of the Sierra de Bellmunt, we will be surprised by a stone construction, it is the Fuente Amarga (it contains a high amount of calcium) whose water had been used for irrigation and to give the animals a drink. Very close, on the same road, we can see the trenches of the civil war.
