이 경로는 풍부한 볼거리와 무성하고 다양한 풍경을 가로지릅니다. 이 경로는 플라센시아에서 시작하여 푸른 목초지와 낙엽수림을 따라 시에라 데 베하르 산맥 기슭에 있는 보호된 생물권 보전 지역까지 이어집니다.

The Jerte River rises in the Gredos mountain range and flows through the impressive valley of the same name in northern Extremadura. Along its way, it feeds gorges, natural pools, and lush forests, becoming a true oasis, especially in spring, when cherry blossoms cover the landscape.

A lovely route to do almost year-round. Avoid the hottest hours and bring along water, as there are only fountains in Bejar and Baños de Montemayor.

It is a charming town, which still preserves the traditional architecture of the valley. It is worth walking through its narrow streets and contemplating the wooden balconies and original stone constructions.

The path from the Cascada Caozo is a partly very steep mountain path with very few cairns and is densely overgrown. The pool at the Cascada Calderon invites you to swim.

The Jerte is a river from Cáceres that gives its name to the valley through which it passes. The 11 towns that make up the Valle del Jerte commonwealth are located on both banks of the river, which runs a total of about 70 kilometres. This point is ideal to relax under the shade of the trees listening to the sound of the water.
