Las Pilas de Collado is a natural pool located in Collado de la Vera (Cáceres), formed by cold, crystal-clear waters originating from the Pedro Chate gorge, as well as smaller gorges that descend from the mountains. It is a much-loved spot for its verdant surroundings, rocks, natural shade, and tranquil atmosphere.

Piornal is the highest village in Extremadura and one of the best natural viewpoints for viewing the cherry blossoms. It also offers its own organized routes during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The most well-documented route starting directly from Piornal is the one organized by the Jerte Valley Sports Promotion Association. Incredible town, full of history and magical corners

Pasarón de la Vera is a charming village perched on a hillside between two mountains. Its town center consists of rustic houses, among which the Renaissance palace of the Manrique de Lara family stands out. Its proximity to the Gredos mountain range and the valley surrounds it with a beautiful natural and agricultural landscape.

Torremenga takes its name from the ancient Torre Menguada, a Visigothic construction located northwest of the town and still visible today. It is notable for its traditional architecture, featuring old houses and granite arcades in the central square. Its natural surroundings are highly valued, with extensive pastures, cherry orchards, spots such as Las Eras and Las Tejoneras, and water areas for fishing and recreation, such as a reservoir and the municipal swimming pool.

Jaraíz de la Vera is the largest municipality in the region, with origins dating back to the Arab era, with its name derived from "harā'ith," meaning "ploughed fields." This town has historically been the economic and social center of La Vera and is recognized worldwide as the capital of the delicious La Vera paprika.

Tejeda de Tiétar is a peaceful gateway to the La Vera region, surrounded by holm oaks, oak trees, and olive groves, overlooking the Tiétar River. Its historic center, with its whitewashed houses, holds treasures such as a Renaissance church and ancient Roman remains.

Medieval historic city. Some ruins of an old tower, probably from the Visigoth period, are preserved, located to the northwest of the town. Pass by the town hall and church and stop for something refreshing to eat and drink.
