Collsuspina is a small village with fewer than 400 inhabitants. It belongs to the Moyanés region. Its name comes from the fact that it was established on the Espina pass, along the old royal road from Manresa to Vic. The pass was named after the important L'Espina farmhouse that once stood there.

I recommend a stop at this place, it has everything you need to regain strength and enjoy the surroundings. “A legend has it that Saint Anthony, in the 13th century, traveled riding on a white horse with swan wings from the Italian city of Padua to Coimbra, in Portugal,” he begins. “And the only rest on the entire journey was taken next to the large oak tree that presides over the small rural center of Santa Coloma Sasserra, in the municipality of Castellcir (Moianès),” he details. “The saint did not choose a bad place, without a doubt, since the tree, the nearby Romanesque hermitage and the farmhouse of the same name, still in operation, constitute an idyllic spot and are worth a visit”

It is a medium-sized church from the 12th century. It doesn't appear to be in use, but it's nice to visit or take a photo.

It is in the northern sector of the municipality of Castellcir, near the border with Collsuspina and Moià. Its center is the parish church of Santa Coloma, next to the Giol and Rectoria farmhouses, on a ridge between the Santa Coloma stream, to the west, and the Font del Pardal torrent, to the east. To the north is the Pla del Forn; to the northeast, the Bonifet farmhouse, and to the east, in the valley of the Soler torrent, the Camp de la Terma. Part of this village, apart from the church and the nearby rectory, are the farmhouses of Les Berengueres, Bonifet, Giol, Serracaixeta and Torre de Serracaixeta, currently within the municipality of Castellcir; the Closanes, the Comes de Santa Eugènia, the Gomar, Perers, the Plans del Toll, Puig-antic, the Toll and the Tuta, now in Moià; Mirambell, the Soler de l'Espina and the Torre Estrada, in Balenyà, and the Corral de la Rovira, in Centelles.

Santa Coloma Sasserra is a rural village in the municipality of Castellcir, belonging to the region of Moianès. In the past, however, its parish also embraced part of the current terms of Balenyà, Centelles and Moià.
