Time and again, the Way of St. James (Camino Frances) – as here on the stage from Torres del Rio to Logrono – involves crossing valleys and rivers. The bridges are sometimes comparatively modern, sometimes medieval, and sometimes even older. But always, and this is the main thing, they bring us – not only, of course, but also us pilgrims – safely to the other side.

The reservoir was built over a century ago from a small natural lake to provide irrigation water for agricultural land.

The church was built in the 15th century and remodeled and completely decorated in the Baroque period. The tower façade was completed during this period. The main altar, which dates back to the first third of the 18th century, is noteworthy. There is an important collection of paintings hanging on the walls of the church and in the sacristy. Among them, the depiction of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, which is located in the presbytery, stands out.

Nature reserve on a small lake, lots of space for walking and even a swimming area, a pilgrimage center at the upper part.

Very nice for local recreation. A blessing for cyclists....

The external façade and portals are less rich, but no expense was spared inside to illustrate the glorification. The high altar is huge, and a painting by Buanarotti hangs in the back of the cathedral.
