Small wooden foot bridge crossing the Río Yalde

A hill that has its own legend: in the castle of Nájera lived Farragut or Ferragut, a Syrian giant descended from Goliath and stronger than him, who fought and defeated the best warriors of Charlemagne except Roldán, who one day from the poyo spotted the giant sitting at the door of his castle. Roldán picked up a round stone weighing two arrobas (~22kg) and threw it in the direction of the giant, whom he hit in the forehead, knocking him down. This church is in a village that you pass through on the alternative route to the Way of St. James. I enjoyed walking here because this path led away from the noisy motorway. I had a siesta in the church park and then almost continued in the completely wrong direction because the alternative route is not so well signposted. Then I found some other pilgrims and together we found our way again.
