The Roman Bridge of Valdesotos, located near the hamlet of the same name in the Sierra Norte of Guadalajara, is actually of medieval origin, probably from the 12th century, with main use during the Middle Ages and converted as a passage to the Monastery of Bonaval.

At this point and depending on the time of year, you will have to cross the river on foot. The water covers your knees and it is best to take off your shoes. The area is worth visiting as it is beautiful.

Every time I enter La Vereda it seems to me to be living with the Paleolithic men who lived there. Their Black constructions with some white stones forming crosses impress me. Its black slate roofs gleaming with the rain, Its Church with a porch that welcomes the hiker to provide rest on the route, Its streets, some of them made of rock eroded by the feet of its former inhabitants. Its surroundings of mountains and rivers of extraordinary beauty. Everything influences to fill you with joy and beauty while you enjoy this extraordinary place.

On the banks of Arroyo Vallosera, under the extraordinarily pretty town of La Vereda, it is a place to rest from the path traveled on the road or in life.

Abandoned Romanesque! Even so, it demonstrates the great splendor and beauty it had at the time. It is worth visiting the Bonaval Monastery and enjoying it.

Over the Jarama River, near Valdesotos and its Prehistoric Caves, it is a very well preserved bridge where it is worth stopping to rest and meditate.

Indeed, it does not have a passage over the Jarama River, we have had to go barefoot, luckily the El Vado dam was not open, otherwise it would have been impossible.
