A lovely place to spend a good rest

A beautiful and pleasant Castilian-style square.

It is part of the so-called black villages of the Ayllón Mountains, so called because of the colour of the buildings, mainly built of black stone and slate, a material that is abundant in the region and on which the village is built.

Beautiful city with a historic, spectacular main square, the Plaza Mayor, with arcades; Church and mansions.

Typical Castilian arcade square from the late 19th century. In the middle there is a sand court that looks like a bullring. In the middle is the town hall in front of the Nuestra Señora del Manto church. It is the center of the beautiful city and has many restaurants and bars with terraces.

Beautiful arcaded square. I recommend stocking up on artisanal bread and pastries at the bakeries in the square. There are also good places to have a tortilla skewer

Pinilla is the town where a ski and mountain resort is located. Good starting point for several trails in the Sierra Norte area of Guadalajara.
