A carved sculpture of the cartoon character "The Little Mole" stands by the path here. The Czech cartoon series was created in 1957 by Prague artist Zdeněk Miler (1921 to 2011). In the original Czech version, the hero of the funny stories is called Krtek (Czech for "mole") or Krteček (Czech for "little mole"). The series aired on East German television as part of the program "Unser Sandmännchen" (Our Sandman). In West Germany, it was broadcast on ARD from January 1968.

The town hall of Boží Dar stands on the central square of the town, which regained town status on October 10, 2006. It was built here between 1844 and 1845 in the late Classicist style, after the old town hall was destroyed in the great fire of 1808 (along with 104 other houses, the rectory, and the school). Its distinctive feature is the octagonal tower with a dome on the hipped roof. With 255 inhabitants, Boží Dar is the fourth smallest town in the Czech Republic, but also the highest in the country. In 1930, Boží Dar had 916 inhabitants, 887 of whom were Germans, 19 Czechoslovakians, and ten foreigners.

The third church building in the history of the mining town of Boží Dar (Gottesgab) was built in 1771 in the late Baroque style according to plans by the Prague architect Filip Heger. Previously, a wooden early Renaissance church had stood here since the 1630s, followed by a stone late Renaissance church from 1593 onwards. This church burned down in the mid-18th century and was replaced by the current church building. By the end of the 1960s, the church was in such poor condition that it had to be closed to the public for safety reasons. A fundraising campaign made the necessary repairs and the reopening of St. Anne's Church possible in 2016. Located at an altitude of 1,020 metres above sea level, it is not only the highest church in the Ore Mountains, the third highest church in the Czech Republic, and one of the highest town churches in all of Central Europe.

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to go up to the top of the dam at the moment, where you will find the best view. But it should be possible again soon
