A quick note for dog owners: Dogs are not allowed on the last section of the path to this observation tower. They are allowed on the dike path along the Skjern Å.

Easy hike

A quick update for all hikers: the bridge is intact and passable. A maximum of two people are allowed on it at a time. Enjoy hiking through the beautiful landscape, right by the water! 🥾🥰 (As of May 31, 2025)

Hello, the bridge has been repaired properly. Many thanks to the hard-working craftsmen. It's definitely worth taking the circular walk, and especially in the area in front of and around this bridge, you can observe and hear a lot of birds. In addition to swans and geese, we also heard reed buntings, sedge warblers, and yellow wagtails. This was actually the most beautiful part of the hike.

The bridge has been repaired, the Danish sign is still there, but the bridge is accessible as usual (as of 24.04.25).

From here you have a wonderful view over the Ringkøping Fjord, Denmark's largest coastal lake. In the 1970s, the balance of the water was threatened. One of the measures taken to restore the Ringkøbing Fjord was the renaturation of the Skjern Å river.

Be careful of the electric fence, especially if you are traveling with dogs or children! Unfortunately, there is no sign of it anywhere and if we had known, we would have chosen a different route!

Currently only accessible by wading (water is about hip-deep for adults)
