Júzcar, known as the Blue Village, is a picturesque village in the province of Málaga, famous for its blue-painted houses. This colour change was made in 2011 for the world premiere of the film "The Smurfs". Although it was initially a temporary campaign, the inhabitants decided to keep the blue colour due to the increase in tourism.

Highlights include the ruins of the Castillo del Águila fortress, the 16th century parish church of San Sebastián, the Vera Cruz chapel, the Fuente de los seis Caños fountain and the Santo Niño chapel, all within a pleasant walk. Then a break at Casa Antonia - perfect.

The Iglesia de San José also: Iglesia de de San Roque dates from the 18th century and was renovated a century later in the Baroque style.

Benalauría is a beautiful town belonging to the Serranía de Ronda region. From the highest viewpoints you can see, on clear days, the coast of Africa. The first settlement occurred in the 8th century at the hands of a Berber people called Banu-l-Hawria, to whom it owes its name.

In the small town of Alpandeire is the church of San Antonio de Padua. It is known by many as "the cathedral of the Serranía" due to its size. In the basement there is an old cemetery and a crypt where the mummies of a couple who collaborated financially in the construction of the church are found.

Atajate is the smallest town in the province of Malaga, with no more and no less than about 180 inhabitants. It is located between the Guadiaro and Genal valleys, in the Serranía de Ronda. Atajate was famous for its vineyards and its economy was based mainly on the production of must. However, at the end of the 19th century there was an epidemic called phylloxera that wiped out all the vineyards and brought ruin to the inhabitants. Nowadays, although there are not so many wineries left, the must is still very representative of Atajate.

Benadalid is a municipality with less than 300 inhabitants that is located in the heart of the Genal valley and is part of the Serranía de Ronda. In addition to the incredible landscape that surrounds the town, the castle of Benadalid stands out. Although it is believed to be of Roman construction, it is thought that the invaders settled on Celtic remains. Later it was the Muslims who made use of the fortress, and today it is the municipal cemetery.
